A feature length documentary celebrating the life and times of one of the true international icons of football, Bobby Moore.  A man, a father, a footballer and now a legend, he remains a man full of contradictions and obsessions that have never been fully explored in cinema or TV before.

OUTLINE

Shooting in May 2015 and released on May 27th 2016 in time for the 50th Anniversary of the 1966 World Cup victory, “Bobby” is an emotional and powerful feature length documentary that football fans of any generation totally embraces. It features archive material from Bobby's humble years as a school boy in Barking tall the key games, both for West Ham and, more importantly, the successful England campaign of 1966 followed by their defeat in 1970.  It also features interviews with family members, his West Ham and England team mates (Bobby Charlton, Glen Hurst), international opposition players (Pele)  and also current football fans such as Russell Brand and James Corden.  It will reach a wide audience who will see the trial and tribulations that Bobby fought against. A special man, a special player and as we approach the 50th Anniversary, there has never been a better time to re-appraise his influence and inspiration over the national game and beyond.
